NTSE 2022 Registration Pattern Eligibility Scholarship Result. NTSE (stands for National Talent Search Examination) is a National Level Examination. This exam is organized by NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training) to offers the scholarship to the deserving candidates. This exam is for the secondary school level to identify and recognize students with high intellect and skills.
NTSE 2022 RegistrationÂ
The exam is organized every year at Two levels: Stage 1 (State Level) & Stage 2 (National level).
- NTSE Stage 2 Admit Card will be out in the month of April 2022.
- NTSE Stage 1 exam will be held in the month of November and the NTSE Stage 2Â exam will be organized in the month of May 2022.
- The papers are organized through offline mode only and have objective-type questions only.
- For both stages, the exam is divided into 2 parts i.e. Mental Ability Test (MAT), & Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
Every year around 1,200,000 to 1,400,000 candidates take part in this exam, while only 5000 candidates are selected for stage 2. Out of these 5000 students, only 1000 applicants are selected for the scholarship.
NTSE Basic Infomation:

- Time Duration of Exam: 120 Minutes ( For each part).
- Type and Number of Questions: Objective Type Questions (Stage 1: 200 Questions), (Stage 2: 200 Questions).

NTSE 2022 Eligibility Requirements for Stage I and Stage II:
Eligibility Criteria Stage 1:
- The NTSE examination needs applicants to be registered with the State/UT exam organizing body.
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- The candidates who are in class X can also apply for the test.
- The applicants who wish to give NTSE exam in class X should have cleared the class IX exam from a reputed board.
- The applicants should have done the class IX exam with a minimum of 60% marks.
- The applicants should have gotten a degree reputed by the board.
- The applicants who have done /appeared for the class 10th exam & are registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) can appear for the NTSE exam.
- The applicant should be below 18 years of age & should not be employed.
 Eligibility Criteria Stage 2:
- Students who have secured 80% marks in state board are eligible for stage 2 of the NTSE exam.
- Every year around 4000 candidates appear for stage 2 of the NTSE exam. Â The candidates who clear the NTSE stage 2 with the minimum marks defined are eligible for scholarships.

Exam Pattern:
NTSE Exam is organized in 2 stages i.e. Stage 1 & Stage 2. Stage 1 is a state-level exam organized by the official authority of various states & union territories. Stage 2 is a national-level exam organized by NCERT for Stage 1 qualifiers & Indian nationals studying abroad as they are exempted from the stage 1 exam. The exam pattern for both the Stage 1 and Stage 2 exam is the same.
- NTSE Exam is an offline test. Applicants have to mark their answers in OMR sheets.
- The exam is divided into 2 papers. Paper 1 is Mental Ability Test (MAT) & Paper 2 is Scholastic Ability Test (SAT).
- The medium of the Stage 1 examination is specified by respective state authorities while Stage 2 exam is offered in Asamiya, Bangla, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu languages.
- There is no negative marking applicable in NTSE 2022

Scholarship: one thousand scholarships are awarded for various stages of education as follows:
- Scholarship of Rs.1250/- per month for Class-XI to XII.
- Scholarship of Rs.2000/- per month for Undergraduates and Post-graduates.
- The amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.
