GOA TEACHERS ELIGIBILITY TEST which is also to be known as GATET which is being regulated by the Central Regulating Authority and the Department of Education. This TET is being conducted to recruit the most eligible candidates as teachers who are willing to teach the students generally classes from (I TO V) at the primary level and classes from (VI TO VIII) at the upper primary level .The candidates who really want to be fixed in the government schools can apply for this examination.
The candidates were being required to get 45%marks in their Senior Secondary Examination.
The candidates must acquire the 4yr degree of B.ED or he/she must be appearing in the 2yr diploma in Elementary Education.
2yrs diplomas in Special education were also eligible for the GATET.
Candidates with B.A, B.SC AND B.ED degree can also apply for this examination.
LEVELS AND THE PATTERN:-
There are three levels. Paper-1 is teaching mainly at primary level.
Paper-2 is mainly teaching at upper primary level.
Paper-3 is that for those candidates who all are interested in teaching mainly classes from (I TO VIII).
The paper consists of 150 marks with the duration of one and a half hour.
The question paper consists of questions related to child development, language-1, language-2, math’s and the environment related questions and each constitutes of 30 marks.
The candidates were being required to gain their admit card from the official website.
The GATET is going to be held in the month of October .The online submission had already started in the month of July and August.
