NEET Medical Entrance Exam bill passed in Lok Sabha
NEET exam had been brought from this year by the Central govt. as an ordinance according to which it is considered as an All India Nation Entrance Examination but on temporarily basis. But now after the passing of the Lok Sabha Bill and giving the NEET exam the legislative status, it means that the NEET exam has now become the Common Medical Entrance Test permanently through which the applicants can get admissions in the Govt. colleges of India to pursue medical courses like MBBS, BAMS, BDS, etc.
Also the interesting thing is that now even the private medical colleges and institutes of India will come under the NEET exam which means that from now on the admissions in the private medical colleges and institutes will be provided on the basis of the NEET scorecard. Now the NEET ordinance is no more an ordinance. It is now a compulsory exam for all applicants so as to get admissions in the colleges.
